How to Add Plugins to Your Dataiku Online Space

Plugins are part of the features you can add to your Dataiku Online account. They can be installed from the Features tab of your Launchpad by clicking on +Add a Feature.

Note

After installation, newly added features may take a few minutes to appear in your Dataiku Online space.

The plugins available on Dataiku Online can be:

  • Extensions which can be used as recipes

  • Data Connectors which allow you to connect to specific data sources as input and/or output

Extension Plugins

You can add Extension plugins from the Extension section of the Add a Feature page. The following extensions are currently available:

  • Geocoder: This plugin provides recipes to perform forward and reverse geocoding from over 20 online providers.

  • US Census: This plugin provides recipes to enrich datasets with hundreds of socio-demographic variables from the US Census Bureau. It also acts as a Data Connector by allowing you to build a US Census dataset with custom settings.

  • Text Visualization: This plugin provide a recipe to visualize text as word clouds in 59 languages.

  • Time series: This Extension incorporates three plugins:

Once installed Extension plugins are added to your available recipes.

Data Connector Plugins

You can add Data Connector plugins from the Data Sources section of the Add a Feature page. The following Data Connectors are available:

  • Salesforce: This plugin provides a read connector to import data from Salesforce into DSS. Also acts as an extension by allowing you to create a recipe that writes into Salesforce.

  • Google Sheets: This plugin provides a read/write connector to interact with Google Sheets. Also acts as an extension by allowing you to create a recipe that appends the row of a dataset to a Google Sheet document.

  • Zendesk: This plugin provides a read connector to import data from your Zendesk account.

Once installed, Data Connector plugins are added to your available data sources.
